Oppam is an above average suspense thriller with a tight screen play, wonderful cinematography and the ever wonder Mohanlal aka our Lalettan. The film marks the return of one of the most successful pair in Malayalam film industry , Mohanlal and Priyadarshan. Though they are known for their comedy films through out , this time they return with a thriller movie. The duos previous attempt on horror thriller Geethanjali, was a big let down, but that is not the case with Oppam. Th...e story is good, suspense holds attention and the flow is fast. Songs are good and apt to the film , the visuals are stunning , especially in songs . Background score is a bit loud to the level of irritating , should have damped it a bit. Mohanlal proves he has not yet lost his touch , supporting cast also does the job well. Apart from suspense there is a bit of everything in the film , humor, action ( if you are a Lalettan fan, there is a moment where you will whistle out loud ) and emotion. All in all it is a complete Onam package.

Verdict : A good suspense thriller. Go watch it.

Watched Kabali . Magizhchi ... First of all Kabali is not a bad film at all and this is not a full blown action film also ( this explains a lot of bad reviews surfaced today ) . The film does contains action , romance, emotion , excellent BG, some good songs, a social cause and #Rajni. What is missing is the "PUNCH", yes the punch is missing. Full credit to stupid director for deliberately playing down Rajni's charisma ( probably out of the fear of going over board ) . There were situations were dramatic dialogs and stylish walks with full blown BG should have brought the roof down ,  but due to some strange reason those situations were played down either by removing BG or avoiding punch dialogs or shifting from the scene just like that ....
Verdict : A could have been excellent action movie , let down by poor direction, uplifted single handily by Rajni. Must watch for Rajni fans. Others may or may not watch.
One more thing , from what it seems from this movie , this may be Rajni sir's last full blown commercial movie as Hero. :(
